Kids learn better from physical books than screens hence physical textbooks are better than the PDF. However, if you are not able to purchase them, or if you are looking for references to design your own syllabus, or if you are looking for worksheets, these sites are very helpful. I can understand the rationale for using textbooks in the classroom, but some kids may find them boring or dry. If you are homeschooling in Chinese , you could have the option to use other fun materials such as picture books and songs to engage a child instead of strictly following a textbook curriculum.
