You just write your heart out and imagine that you are writing a letter to God. We also like that there is a quote on the side to inspire you to write and pray even more. Imagine being in isolation with just you, a pen and paper, and the Lord.
Seems like the perfect moment to tell Him everything you want to say. The creators behind this blog believe that one way to stay focused is by using a journal for whatever you do.
They created this template for those who want their prayers to be organized, too. This template is free to download. Simply right-click on the image on the site and select print or save. While it was originally designed for children, we also recommend it for adults who want to follow the basics of ACTS. It makes it easier to organize your prayers without missing anything important. This printable from Sarah Frazer is actually more of a prayer card than a printable template.
However, we feel like it can also pass as a template since it has the elements of a prayer journal. One thing you will notice is that this card is used on a weekly basis.
Nevertheless, if you feel like you want to use it daily, you may do so. It may be used for Bible time during homeschool, at church or after church, or during family worship time. Prayer has become my lifeline in the mornings.
It is a way for me to become centered and concentrate on God. And I am so not worthy of such an honor. The God of heaven, who sits on His majestic throne with hosts of angels surrounding Him, singing praises to Him, and still He listens to my prayers?! Sometimes I sound like whining child, but really I want to hear his voice int he middle of the mess of my life. Do you? And sometimes I am quick to put in my mind what I think God is saying, but only His holy word will tell me the truth.
And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him. Lastly, I have added a full-page for weekly memory verse. One of the things that I want to improve on this year is to use Scripture in my prayers. I would pick a verse and personalize it by inserting the names of people I pray for.
